Introduction
The air ticket clerk is a member of the group of professionals known as “airport stopover clerks,” who handle a variety of tasks related to the transportation of people and their belongings by air, both before and after a flight, from the ticket office and check-in to the boarding, special assistance, arrivals, and lost property departments. In reality, the airport attendant is a multifaceted individual who is in charge of overseeing all air transportation-related operations in the passenger area (ticket office, check-in, arrivals, lost and found, and special assistance). He greets visitors and assists customers and passengers with bookings, offers information about flight dates, timings, and costs; advertises airline products; and aids passengers by responding to their inquiries and requests regarding flight modifications or cancellations.
The person who handles ticket issuance and re-issuance, acceptance of travelers with hand luggage, regularisation of excess baggage, control of travel regularity, issuance of new tickets to replace lost ones, and checking flight availability is known as the air ticket office in the context of the airport. In essence, this person serves as an airport customer care representative and liaison between travelers and the airline.
